The 3rd annual David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic was another great success! With proceeds from this event the David Ortiz Children's Fund has been able to save nearly 250 lives.

The event kicked off with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening where guests were able to mix and mingle with all of the celebrities in attendance. The fun didn't stop all weekend - from the moment guests arrived at the beautiful Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana through our (every night) late-night pool parties and Sunday Farewell brunch, memories of a lifetime were made. Even more important - it was a great time for a great cause!

As one would expect, the setting was beautiful, the weather was fabulous and the competition was fierce. First place trophies and bragging rights went to the team of Tim Ford, Jack Wells, Mike Estes and Mike Kehoe captained by George Bell. Second place went to Red Sox Pitcher Tim Wakefield, Butch Plifka, Tate Isenstadt, Brian Devlin, and Dr. Peter Slavin. Third place went to Hall of Famer Jim Rice, Emily Manion, Jeannine Fiorito, Melissa Muchmore, and Blue Jays Outfielder Jose Bautista.
